Parking Update
Our surface lot is under construction. Please remember to take extra time when coming to the Auditorium to enjoy an event.
Progress on our parking structure continues — with help from the improvement in our weather. This month’s fun facts:
- We prepared to pour the first portion of the suspended slab for the first floor on Friday, February 28.
- We are continuing to pour suspended beams along the east and west sides of the building.
- An average beam contains approximately 8 cubic meters of concrete and weighs approximately 19,000 kg (41,800 lbs).

An AEG Live & Emerge Entertainment production
k.d. lang embarks on a cross-Canada tour which stops in Edmonton on Sunday, June 8, 2008.
Watershed, in stores now, is comprised of 11 new songs which were written, produced and recorded by k.d. This release is the first self-produced collection in the 25 years career of the four-time Grammy winner. It is her first album of newly-written material since 2000’s Invincible Summer and her first studio album since 2004’s acclaimed Canadian songbook Hymns of the 49th Parallel.
Jian Ghomeshi said, “This is the complete k.d. lang. This album is a seductive and gorgeous reminder of the remarkable touch of one of Canada's greatest songwriters and voices. An early and easy candidate for one of the best albums of 2008.”
