The Pembina Institute is an independent, not-for-profit environmental policy research and education organization. The Pembina Institute's major policy research and education programs are in the areas of sustainable energy, climate change, environmental governance, ecological fiscal reform, sustainability indicators, and the environmental impacts of the energy industry.
The Pembina Institute was established in 1985 to address the environmental and health issues related to safety standards in the oil and gas industry. Today, Pembina is a large National non-profit organization working on sustainable energy solutions for the health of the planet. Their vision is of a world in which our immediate and future needs are met in a manner that protects the earth's living systems; ensures clean air, land and water; prevents dangerous climate change and provides for a safe and just global community.
Art Garfunkel was originally revered for his Grammy- winning, chart-topping songs and albums with partner Paul Simon. Their greatest hits collection, which includes "Mrs. Robinson," "Scarborough Fair," "The Sound Of Silence," "The Boxer" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water," among others, is the biggest selling album ever by a duo.
Blessed with what the New York Times described as a beautiful countertenor, Art Garfunkel has made an indelible mark on the music world as both a solo artist and half of the unrivaled Simon & Garfunkel. He has also enjoyed a successful film career, published a book of poetry and has now released his 12th solo album, "Some Enchanted Evening", on January 30, 2007 on Atco Records.
Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster by phone at (780) 451-8000 or online www.ticketmaster.ca.
