Panorama of Water, Sky and Figures Dance the Wall in Jube's New Artwork

A monumental print installation now transforms the south stairwell of the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Confluence Through the Looking Glass, by Alberta artist Liz Ingram, was unveiled today.

The Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society (AJAS) in partnership with the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) is pleased to celebrate the unveiling of this new work by Liz Ingram, of Edmonton. This artwork is the result of a $100,000 commission awarded to the artist through this partnership, and is now part of the AFA Collection.

Confluence Through the Looking Glass is a printed installation and monumental wall piece employing fabric and glass. The installation spans a curved wall from side to side and from floor to ceiling using imagery that incorporates the human figure in motion and the elements of water and sky. The figures and elements were photographed, enlarged, and collaged digitally into large figurative images and large water and sky-scapes.
