The Jubliee Society are accepting applications for a new Internship Training program.
This is an ongoing program and applications will be continually accepted. All applicants must be current or permit members of IATSE local 212.
Each successful applicant will be placed with a Principle House Technician where they will gain experience in their respective departments through shadowing and hands on work when required. The internship session will last for a 3 month period wherein they will be scheduled for various types of productions with a flexible schedule. If the applicant is a permit member, hours worked in the internship program will be counted toward the permit hours required for a full IATSE 212 membership, to a maximum of half the required hours.
Successful applicants will have a strong background in technical theatre and a desire to expand and refine those skills at high level professional road house. During the 3 month session we will work toward a training goal and schedule in the most appropriate way to reach said goal.
All Interns shall work under the conditions and be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement for House Technicians, at a rate of fifty percent of the House Technician hourly rate.
